The Forgotten Lands
Lyr Lyras is a mysterious chapter in the history of both Lyrast and the World of Teréth End. Hidden among the tall grasses of this vast plain are the stone ruins of a civilization that rose and fell without making a ripple in history. Vuldir descendants retold the stories of their elders describing long abandoned cities of Lyrast.
A single stone among the ruins once bore a Dwürden carving that was pronounced: “Lyr Lyras”. The words mean nothing in the Dwürden tongues, but have been accepted as the name of the place and people that once lived here. Though the Dwürden do not admit it, it is likely that the builders of Lyr Lyras emerged and fell before the discovery of Gemürjordok. In deference to these ancient predecessors, the Dwürden named the continent Lyrast.
Today the vast plains of Lyr Lyras are a savage place where few dare travel. Expeditions to find the ruins of Lyr Lyras are mostly fruitless, the stones having sunk beneath the grasses centuries ago.
