Teréðor

The Uncharted Land

Teréðor

Teréðor

The largest continent is Teréðor, bordered to the east by the Mar Dekàli and to the west by the Mar Kàrāyn; Teréðor extends into both the northern and southern hemispheres. This massive continent was once home to the great Dekàli Empire and is believed to be the birth-home of the Ortor. Vast stretches of the mountainous interior are uncharted by Yrūni cartographers, and unexplored by Eylfāe and Dwürden both. The eastern coastline was once home to a thriving chain of Dwürdeni states, which dwindled and vanished during Yrūn expansion. The Dekàlyr owed much of their formidable infrastructure (both cities and roads) to what their Dwürden mentors left behind.

Rimmed by civilization, the interior of Teréðor is believed to be among the wildest of lands in the World of Teréth End. From northeastern Ardùwū where the Nehkrul struggle to maintain an ancient alliance, to the eastern coast dominated by kingdoms formed from a fractured empire, to the jungle principalities of the unknowable Sharm and the roaming Naskàryr, to the warring coastal states of the Mar Kìrydi, to the remote western lands where men claim descendancy from Emereni kings, the continent is vast and varied.

Regions, Geographic

People

The land of Teréðor spans the North and South hemispheres. The geography and climatic diversity of the land harbors hundreds of cultures, kingdoms, and a dozen races. From the Rovers of the frozen Gray Wastes to the steamy rain forests of Sul-Tèreðor the continent hosts a variety of people.

Some of the people of Teréðor are:

  • Carámyr (people of Caramis)
  • Endrūlyr (people of Endrul)
  • Fvynyr (people of the Fertile Coast)
  • Judūðyr (people of Jūduð)
  • Kirydyr (people of Kirydia)
  • Mulūkyr (people of Mulūk)
  • Naskàryr (people of Naskàra)
  • Nūlùryr (people of Nūlura)
  • Ōloodyr (people of Olood)
  • Saránðyr (people of Saranð)
  • Sharyr (people of the Shar Cradle)
  • Wasters (people of the Gray Wastes)

The most widespread Teréðyr are the Dekàlyr. The Dekàlyr encompass all those that live in regions once claimed Nor Terras De’Kalas by the Dragul Throne at Lanàdus. Many of these live in areas long ago disassociated with the Ten Thrones. Despite preference of politics, all share a common history and roots that merit inclusion. Often there is not as much difference as people care to believe.

The New Battleground

The Dwürden claim that in early times, they tunneled to the great continent from their strongholds in western Vulmùra. The Eylfāe claim to have sailed to present Nazhàlað, a city of great antiquity and made in-roads deep into the verdant lands and high mountains where they constructed many great cities throughout Teréðor before the first sighting of Dwürden in that land. The Dwürden agree that the Eylfāe built many cities, but claim that they watched all of this from strongholds of their own, deep within the mountains.
