Dekùlðari

Western Dragul

Perhaps the most fearsome of the remaining Dragùlyr are the Dragùl Dekùlðari. Though all Dragul reports are sketchy, the Western Dragul are considered to rival that of their Eastern kindred. In addition, exceptional individuals are thought to have powers which hearken back to the Dragul of old. It is known that the Dekàlyr revered these great beasts during the time of their Empire, feeding and nurturing the monsters in return for ancient lores and magic. Several of these ancient wyrms are rumored to have survived the Great War, possibly still remaining at Æzàlar, Jædð, Kændal, Panæð, Ummon, and Zyrr. The Acèntyri confederacy, led by the Eylfāe, sought to destroy the Dragul in an attempt to sever Dekàli powers. Although each of the Eylfāe victories are mentionable alongside the great battles of antiquity, their failure to eradicate all of the Western Dragul was foretold to be the seed of their own eventual destruction. As a result of this, many Eylfāe feel that the war was a failure, despite the fall of the Old Empire. It is for this reason, that some believe the Eylfāe did not press the Occupations, abandoning the conquered city-states within a century’s time.
