Ordàçæð

Sea Leviathan

Ordàçæðyr are believed to be the largest fish dwelling in the seas of Teréth End. The fish undulate their long and flat bodies to propel themselves through the water. Each “wing” extends the length of the flexible central body. The underside of each wing-edge is lined with curved teeth. When an Ordàçæðyn attacks prey, it envelopes the target and ripples the teeth back and forth, ripping at the flesh of its food. Hundreds of small pectoral mouth-like orifices then suck meat, entrails, blood, and other nutrients from its food. Water is expelled through a long series of small dorsal gills that run the length of the central body.

The massive fish are hunted for the honey-colored oil that is stored in fat throughout their bodies. The meat is considered poor quality by most non-arctic cultures.
