Farád Dragult is a small island off the coast of the Danòki Theocracy and the Kingdom of Cladan. Dilapidated buildings and rickety driftwood stairways cling to the rocky sides of the isle like barnacles on the hull of a ship. The waters surrounding Farád Dragult are littered with the flotsam and sewage of its many inhabitants, turning the waters into a thick soup for hundreds of yards on the mainland side. The island wasn’t always an eyesore. Despite its current condition, the rocky island has an important role along the Iron Coast. Farád Dragult translates from Old Oðic to “Dragul’s Perch” for it is here that each new Dragul is welcomed to Oð. This last occurred following the Occupation. According to the Pact, no military forces may land upon the island which creates a “haven” for outlaws and the indigent. Prior to the arrival of Katùlð, the shanties were torched and the inhabitants leapt into the waves to escape the inferno. That was centuries ago.

Cities, Towns, and Villages

  • Town of Keldòryn. The Farádyr have one town on the windward side of the island, Keldòryn. The town was originally a small port constructed for the arrival of dignitaries to partake in ceremonies to welcome and bind the Dragul. A long and winding staircase, hewn into the island’s side, climbs to the great perch. Today, the port is a pile of houses and shipwrecks, hobbled together into a large wooden mass. Hundreds of mismatched windows, balconies, and lanterns look out across the Nyr Oðári. Despite the inevitable elements that are attracted to this lawless place, the ships of the surrounding kingdoms keep pirates and smugglers to a minimum.
