Ōlood may be situated in the most unenviable location in all Teréðor. Although it shares a northern border with Carámis, a relatively stable and trustworthy neighbor, Carámis in turn is bordered by the militaristic Saranð; to the south, Ōlood is neighbor to the Bleeding Kingdom, Pastar; and to the west, it is threatened by the mountain Ortor. The only direction which does not harbor a threat, is the indifferent Mar Dekàli. It has not always been this way, of course. Ōlood was once a northern province of Kændal, separated in 1246 HK as a result of the Second Acèntyri-Dekàli War. Finding themselves without a Crown, the Ōloodyr elected a Queen from an ancient native household. Despite tensions along their shared borders, the Ōloodyr have self-governed for over 600 years. Recently, the bellicose Saránðyr have made unequivocal scabbard rattlings, forcing the Queen to request armies from her Tower of Lords.
