Talàjah

Ivory Empire, The Slave Kingdom

Talàjah is no more. A province of the Serájarim Empire, Talàjah was key to its success and its downfall. Today, portions of the ancient province can be found inside the borders of Aghkgzar, Mūzar, Nirímar, Ta’āmah, and Talar.

For thousands of years, the Ortor of the Neráli Màr Shir were hunted, captured, fettered, and marched to the coastal towns of Talàjah where they were sold to farmers, merchants, and generals. No records survive to support the idea that the Agâru of southern Tassèrus were warlike or even a nuisance to their coastal neighbors. Although the historical record is sketchy, it appears that their only crimes were their great strength, dim intellect, and an inability to mount a proper resistance. Despite several accounts of slave rebellions within Talàjah and other regions, nothing ever came of their efforts until the Ivory Rebellion that destroyed the greatest Yrūn civilization to that time.
