The sixth of the Terêth End tales is also the earliest, occurring during a time when the Dekàli Empire was newly expanding into the outer reaches of the known world. In this early Iron Age, Yrūn explorers and armies pushed outward into the regions of the world long held inviolate by the Immortal races. Most of these pioneers were devoured by the mysteries they found, never to be heard from again; but some managed to return with stories that would become legends in the halls of their kin. The Isthmic Tales tell of a shipwrecked crew thrust into uncharted lands by ancient forces. Abandoned in a savage land, the survivors of the Vedre Taládus struggle to find a way home.
