Once a prosperous coastal town on the Dagger Peninsula, the Town of Genter was a haven for corruption in recent centuries. Located outside Oð’s imposing City Wall, the town used to enjoy a healthy trade with merchants trying to avoid the City’s levies and fees, including those not wishing to risk their merchandise to pilots of the Kre Dùlnar. The Town-Fathers’ persistent rejection of Merchants’ Guild contracts (and influence) caused most legitimate trading agreements to wither. In their place, the town catered to unsavory merchants, traffickers, and pirates from the North Coast and beyond. In recent decades, there has been a small resurgence of legitimate business, though extensive illicit markets remain.

Presently, the town is ruled by a number of important people acting separately but in concert with one another. The most visible leader is the Patron Lord of Genter, Sorçān Dēsàdda. His influence is tempered by representatives from the Derékaln, Crossed Palms, and the bankrupt Lord Hædan, ancestral ruler of the town.

Most believe that Genter’s noxious climate emanates from the ancient dungeon corridors that sprawl beneath its streets.
