This spell creates nightmares in target’s mind, giving the target one restless night (i.e., period of sleep).

As dawn touched her face, Eléstēa stared up at the tent pole. She was soaked with sweat and felt like yesterday’s hike still ached through her legs and back. She’d slept, but only barely. As she climbed from her bedroll, she wondered why she’d dreamt the things she had. Shadowy characters danced behind a distant curtain, images she hadn’t conjured since her childhood. “Why now?” They had traveled deep into the lofty mountain jungles, months from the nearest outpost. Why were the terrors of her childhood revisiting her now? Climbing from the small tent, Eléstēa found her group already devouring breakfast as they broke down the camp. Everyone seemed invigorated. Everyone except for her.

Details

The subject is not harmed, but continues the following day (i.e., period of activity) as if they got no sleep. The channeler does not have to decide what the target will dream about. The spell only works on sleeping targets.
