Poldròs Lōdos

Merchant of Argwyð

A prominent merchant in the Pryard, Lōdos has a reputation as a food connoisseur and critic. He frequents the best restaurants, cafes, and taverns throughout the city and sometimes leaves handwritten reviews after dining. These letters are highly esteemed by proprietors and have been known to be framed and hung prominently in Oð’s best dining rooms. The letters are so regarded that a number of forgeries have begun appearing and existing letters are met with scrutiny.

Lōdos’ wealth comes from business interests founded by his grandfather, Polyr Lōdos. Polyr was a self-made businessman who built his riches in import/exporting and extracting treasures from the Lower Streets. Lōdos’ grandfather met an unnatural death in the middle of Temple Square when he was killed by unseen forces. The old man was exhausted when he emerged screaming from a side-street and made it a couple hundred yards before collapsing to the pavement. A handful of witnesses claimed to have seen giant shadowy figures pursuing the merchant before he died. The death of Polyr Lōdos is a curiosity among the Circles, as Inkàðura magics are believed to have been involved.

Poldròs Lōdos is a member of the Merchants’ Guild of Oð, subordinate to the Patron Lord of Pryard, Pryn Ergìn Yndòr.

Tressta’s notes: Late thirties, early forties, large man with fine stained clothes. Deep gravelly voice with cheeks and neck that trembled when he laughed. Odd customer. Would sit in an overstuffed chair which he brought to multiple locations. He kept a large basket of fruits on a nearby table which he would eat as he watched. Tressta was commanded to stand in a circle surrounded by smoking braziers while reading poetry and various stages of undress. Whenever a poem became lusty, Lōdos would laugh and moan to himself while stuffing his mouth with more food. Lōdos never touched Tressta nor allowed her to touch him. Encounters: 6
