Merchants’ Guild of Oð Guildmaster, Patron High Lord of Oð
- Born: 617 DR
- Died: Alive
Mardus is a portly man with graying hair and brown eyes. He travels through Oð in a shabby old horse-drawn carriage that likely belonged to his parents or grandparents. Likewise, his sumptuous but antiquated clothes seem ill-fitted and moth-eaten. As Guildmaster of the Merchants’ Guild of Oð, it is believed that Mardus is very wealthy. It is publicly assumed that Mardus hoards his great wealth with a tight fist, though insiders know differently. The Guildmaster spares no expense on his libidinous pursuits. Weeklong parties at Mardus’ Jhūtul mansion in Sulyard, Oð are legendary within his trusted circles.
Mardus is a shrewd businessman with stakes and influence in corporate interests throughout the North Coast. He is a Chairman on a number of Banking Chambers and owns shares with a number of shipping interests. He is not often seen in public, though his curtained carriage enters and leaves the Kryçàryn every few days. He lives at his Jhūtul mansion along with a blind manservant, Courg, a staff of matronly housekeepers, and a broad Ogdar bodyguard named Ēkēzēyn.
Tressta’s notes: Middle thirties, portly man with graying hair and brown eyes. Wore filthy silk robe, drank fine wines, and ate Kændàli cheeses. Terrible weakness for women. Purchased services of up to three courtesans at a time for period of days. Lavish but antiquated furnishings throughout home with frumpy maids and Courg the blind manservant. Manservant was never without a wide creepy grin. Encounters: 2
