Falkwell’s Blinding Colors (Dragàmyr–ðulámyri krēádra-sūðûn Ilûmtrū)
This spell produces a brilliant burst of rainbow colors that blind and stagger all that see them. The spell is woven with a short song, as the magician places his palms over his own eyes. Next, the caster glows incandescent white and explodes with color.
Details
The ðulámyri spell affects everyone within a cone, not only those looking at the magician. Those looking toward the caster have a worse chance of resisting the spell’s effects than others within its area. All those caught within the spell’s effect are temporarily disoriented and partially blinded. Targets must be sighted to be affected by Falkwell’s Blinding Colors.

Components
Falkwell’s Blinding Colors is not a standard magician spell, because it was composed to be cast with music. The only known copies of the spell are written longhand in the Old Oðic script of Early Oðávar. The spell does not have components per se, but weavings do take a toll on mundane instruments. Similarly, voice weaving has a chance to render the magician temporarily speechless.
History
One of several Dragàmyri bardic spells written by Edimar Falkwell.
