  • The Emerald Splinter. When Mamra is full above the City of Taldàna but its face is shrouded by storming clouds, people watch the Finger of the Colossus at midnight for a brilliant stroke of emerald lightning that appears at those times. This event has religious meaning for Amran faithful who believe it is an expression of love from Dalāsya to Amra, shown only on those nights. The history of the Emerald Splinter is much more murky. Many believe that the splinter has appeared ever since the colossus was first erected on the peninsula, others claim it started after the colossus fell, but scholars have been stymied in their attempt to find historical (i.e., Old Empire) mentions of the event leading some to believe it is a phenomenon no more than a few centuries old.
  • Finger of the Colossus. A sweeping peninsula of land that terminates with the fractured Colossus of Amra. The Finger may have once been a natural formation but has since been reinforced with stone seawalls along its length. A single road leads along the peninsula from the City to the statue gardens. Along its length are a number of parks and statue gardens that are popular with the City folk.
  • Kyrm Or’Amra
