The spell only works if there are insects nearby. If there’s a chance of insects present, the spell should operate normally.

The spell requires a black Craw feather. Each time the spell is used, barbs fall from the component. Depending on the size of the feather, a magician may draw a dozen or more Weavings from a single component.
