The Hidden Kingdom
The mountains of western Teréðor conceal a kingdom that has withstood the tides of many Ages. Golgzol is often referred to as the Hidden Kingdom because it has been repeatedly spared the coming and going of empires, hordes, plagues, and the whimsy of capricious gods. Ironically, the inhabitants of this most stable of nations are the ever-volatile Gnor.

- Zolbrògul Chasm. A yawning rift in the Knar Kùlgor mountains where the Gnor of Golgzol deposit things they wish to forget. The chasm has a mixed reputation as it has been used for a variety of purposes. Artifacts have been tossed into the hole so that they can never be used again. Un-killable beasts have been roped and hauled over the edge. There have even been stories of loved ones being drugged and thrown into the chasm so that life could continue without them. No one is completely sure what lies at the bottom of the Zolbrògul Chasm because no one has found a bottom. In the 56th century LR, the forces of King Targ Agaza III followed a thief to the chasm’s edge. The thief had stolen the King’s crown and led his forces on a chase across the breadth of Golgzol. At the chasm’s side the thief threatened to drop the crown but lost his balance and disappeared over the edge. Outraged, the King organized an expedition to explore the chasm’s depths. A giant framework of pulleys and cordage-machines were constructed at the chasm’s edge to lower a basket of explorers into the depths. As they were lowered, more length was added to the ropes. After many leagues the expedition was eventually abandoned. The chasm has a unique place in Golgzol Law. Regardless of circumstance, any person who falls into the pit is not considered to have been murdered. The fame of Zolbrògul is such that it is believed that any person that ventures near the chasm is voluntarily putting their lives at risk. For this reason, nobles and priests never approach the hole. It is not uncommon to find bands of Pushers roaming the rim.
