First Oðàri House of Zyan

55-238 DR. First Oðàri House of Zyan.

The Zyan Dynasty of Oð emerged from the turbulent Eylfāri occupation of that city. The High Priestess Vulándra the Second received Dryryn Zyan (first cousin of Elvor the Third of Kændal) and his new wife Lady Allūan Aldar in the summer of 44 DR to discuss the future of the occupied city-state Oð (the Eylfāe would withdraw two years later). Vulándra was impressed with Dryryn and promised him the Iron Crown if he would commit himself to Kyrm Oryroð (he was a Kændlanyn) and rout the invaders from the city-state. This he promised, leaving in the next season for distant Lanàdus where he (and his descendants) were given High Lordship of Oð. From Lanàdus, Dryryn journeyed far until his legendary meeting with Katulð (whose full name may not be written here) who he returned with to Oð in 54 DR. eturning to find the city largely in Acèntyri hands, Dryryn I organized a partisan army which attacked Acèntyri forces inside and outside of the city. Riots ensued, erupting throughout the land. Anarchy reigned in the City of Oð for the winter season. In the spring of 55 DR, Dryryn I’s army pushed into Kryr Shùrulm and the bloodletting was terrible. Soon, the High Lord strode into halls thick with carnage and claimed the Iron Throne.
