The Discordant Lands

The Discordant Lands are a third world that exists beyond what the Dekàlyr called the Kyuràda Vor (i.e., Withering Veil). It is believed by some cults of Teréth End that the Withering Veil holds great and horrible beings at bay that would seek to destroy the Mortal World. Furthermore, some believe that the Withering Veil was constructed by beneficent gods to protect and nurture the Mortal Realm. Unlike the The Ethereal, the Nether is believed to be home to voracious outsiders (i.e., Neðérim) which are depicted in a constant struggle to breach the veil and partake of the treasures of the Mortal Realm.

The Nether is a place of insatiable hunger that feeds on the spirit and magics of the Mortal and Invisible worlds. That which is known about the Nether has been gleaned from the near incoherent writings of those that have strayed beyond the forbidden veil. No one that enters returns whole to the Visible World. Most famous of these unfortunate journeyers was Jzar the Mad.

Inhabitants of the Discordant Lands are called the Neðérim.
