Dys Esadyr of Golst

Exiled Wizard of Golst

  • Birth: Vulùne 575 HK
  • Death: 681 HK
  • First Appearance: NA

The City of Golst does not appear on many maps. The ancient city once lay along the southern coast between Kændal and Panæð, a popular stopping point for ships making the crossing from one sea to the next. In the 7th century HK, the City of Golst disappeared following a cataclysm that is believed to have precipitated the Great Flood of 643 HK, when a tidal wave destroyed untold villages and towns throughout the Lanàdi Islands. News of the Great Flood was soon overshadowed by sailor’s reports that the City of Golst was gone. Where the city once stood, inland roads converged upon a shelf of stone, peering down upon broken rocks and crashing waves.

A mystery for decades, the secret of the disappearing city remained unanswered until 681 HK. Upon his deathbed the wizard Dys Esdayr of Golst, once a resident of the city, took credit for its destruction. His account of the Weaving was recorded in the second volume of the History of Golst.
