Arynzàlvya

North Kingdom of the Nehkrul

“We arrived at Arynzàlvya in late Spring of 759 HK. Our guide led us unerringly into the sheltered harbor of Nazhàlað where we were met with some inhospitality, though nothing unexpected among the belligerent Nehkrul. We were informed at spear-point that no Yrūn would leave the ship and that all resupply must be done through intermediaries. Our Eylfāe guide was permitted to leave the ship, and despite our counseling chose to do so. We never saw her again. Within three days we were returned to sea and continued northwest along the coast of snow clad coasts of Teréðor. Despite the heavy costs for provisions, none could be trusted, and all were pitched overboard.” – Journal of Ūlèsus of Gidðir

The Nehkrul kingdom of Arynzàlvya is located in the far northern reaches of the Land of Teréðor. Snow covers the frozen landscape most of the year, allowing for limited farming and hunting. Most of the Arynzàlvyr settlements are small towns and outposts as the area cannot support large inland communities. The kingdom’s remote capital city, Nazhàlað, sits upon the north coast of Ardùwū and is sustained by trade, hunting, arctic fisheries, and whaling.

People

The Nehkrul of Arynzalvya live an almost savage lifestyle compared with their Eylfāe brethren. While they love and value many of the same pastimes as their southern cousins, much of their time and efforts are devoted to simple survival in this inhospitable place.

Arynzàlvya is one of the few civilized places in the world that maintains regular contact with the Içrāe Eylfārehl.
