Ōlànda Ældar appears to be a grandmotherly woman with long silver hair, a heavy shawl, and old layered skirts. The deep wrinkles of her face testify to the passing of many years fraught with fearful endeavors, grand deceit, and the artful manipulation of deadly enemies. She has played the game harder and for far longer than any of her colleagues within the Merchants’ Guild of Oð. As Patron of Kre Dùlnar, she oversees all imports into the City of Oð by means of the harbor pilots and the Kryçàryn. Ōlànda’s reputation for ruthlessness cannot be overstated; the number of disappearances attributed to her and her family could choke the harbor’s Maw.
Ōlànda has many residences throughout the City of Oð, but prefers a small walled compound on the Kre Dùlnar’s southern rim (i.e., Æntràdam). She employs numerous Swords and Daggers to keep her safe. She does not trust the loyalties of the Merchant Guard, preferring instead to pay for her own security. Counting the number of assassins killed at her home, the investment seems sound.
