Introduction

Few people are devoted to the total worship Evìssor. Most prayers and sacrifices offered to the Starving God are done so to appease and keep the dark god away from households in times of hardship. Evìssor is believed to prey on the weak and hungry, drawing health from their weakened bodies to feed his own insatiable hunger.

The Cult

While there is no one organized Cult of Evìssor, groups do emerge from time to time. A small group of Evìssorites appeared in Kændal in the early 5th century DR claiming that staged starvation could extend life indefinitely. For a number of months, the group generated a great deal of interest in the Fertile Crescent kingdom, inspiring a number of other imitators. When the first of the community’s children died the group was “revealed” to be Irynilites and their community shunned and their crops burned.

The Priesthood

The faithful of Evìssor have no formal dress or accessories. There is no formalized structure for the worship of Evìssor.
