“Arázel was awakened by the sound of soldiers barking orders and scrambling around camp. Emerging from his tent, he saw another formation of strange luminous orbs floating above the jungle canopy. Periodically one of the lights would leave formation and plunge silently into the impenetrable layer of leaves, vines, and twisting branches. A beam of light then pivoted through the darkness like a Dragul’s eye, burning away shadows and secrets. The soldiers dodged behind tree trunks and leaf blinds to avoid the beam. When the light had scanned a full circle it returned through the leaves and rejoined the formation of floating sentinels. This was the fourth night that they had encountered the Sha’ali magics, so Arázel knew the expedition was drawing close to sacred ground.” – Arázel’s Report to King Kalzar the First, Exploration of the Eastern Lands, 203-205 HK
Beyond the Falwùr Fen and Forbidden Pass lies a great wilderness that is the core of the Land of Tassèrus. Long thought to be a wild and uncharted forest, explorers have discovered new kingdoms buried beneath the heavy vegetation and Awakened races found nowhere else in the world. The Vast Untamed is bordered by the Stonespine Mountains to the north and west, the Malàshra Shir to the east, and the Nal Ab’ash Bay to the south. While the Vast Untamed does not constitute the entirety of Tassèri jungles, it is the region most visited by Yrūnyr.
