First Panæði House of Nakhêr

144 AR – 214 HK. First Panæði House of Nakhêr. House of Talùaða the First of Anū Gyð through her thirteen times great-grandson, Balàrzôn Nakhêr the Second of Panæð.

The origin of the Nakhêr Dynasty of Panæð extends back into antiquity, long before the murder of Queen Talùaða I in 109 AR. In that same year, the House of Nakhêr was granted lordship over the Lands of Anū Gyð by King Gaðar I, the Burning King. The House was given the task of producing large sums of food and resources for the Island of Lanas, who had suffered greatly in their prosecution of the Lanas-Anū Gyð War. Despite burned fields and towns, the northern coast of the Shar Cradle was very fertile and within a few years both kingdoms returned to prosperity.

An interesting character of the early House of Nakhêr was Kadūan the Traitor. Although it is not certain how he was related to Queen Talùaða I, it is believed that he was a brother or cousin. It is told that Kadūan revealed the white caverns of Pagàryð to the invading armies, allowing them to overtake the capital of Anū Gyð. Additionally, Kadūan is credited with showing King Anðus I where the priests of Pæð had hidden the Nine Golden Flames. Although Dekàli historians remembered him as a hero, even erecting a statue to Kadūan in the City of Panæð late in the 5th century HK, later evidence showed that he may have been killed for his treachery by the very people he aided. Following the Empire’s Fall, Panæði Revolutionaries toppled the statue of Kadūan and rolled its pieces into the river.
