The Hold is one of the oldest and most hard-fought Dwürdèni bastions of power in Vulmùra. Both the Ruined Coast and Doróm Tremdor are littered with crumbled keeps, scattered walls, abandoned ramparts, and gated passes. There are so many old battlefields across the region that even the Dwürden, with their exhaustive histories, have lost count and record of the conflicts and the dead. There are more monuments along the Hold’s roadsides than milestones. Though the region seems removed from the conflicts of the present day, it was once a vital part of the Dergàrdgurün Empire, acting as the Western Wall against Syðìsyril, Arynzalvya, and the powers of Teréðor.
