Nāynas are legless reptiles that move using undulatory locomotion.
The most commonly used categorization for Nāynas is venomous and non-venomous. Except for large constrictors, this dichotomy helps separate Nāynas into those that are dangerous to Yrūn and those that are not.

- Royal Scintillant. A large snake, native to the Vast Untamed, the Royal Scintillant is named for its black and royal purple markings. In full sunlight, the snake shimmers radiantly. Most natives of the region know to stay clear of the snake, as its venom is one of the more deadly known to Tassèrus. Both poisoners and collectors pay high prices for the creatures. Many are collected by Sha’al children who can make good money selling both eggs and hatchlings to merchants.
