Northwharf

Ward Overview

An array of long and crumbling stone piers extend from the bustling wharf, carving the blue sea into narrow channels. Old and weather-worn ships sway in their moorings, their faded sails furled. Unsavory shore-men of a dozen races work the ancient flagstones, each snarling in a different tongue and covered in tattoos and the scars of unrecorded battles. As one nears the Æzàlari coast, the warehouses and inns come into hazy view behind the wall of smoke rising from braziers that burn day and night to offset the stench. Eyes watering and lungs burning from the smoke, one is wise to hold tightly to their purse for many strangers that pass bear knife-rings ready to slice a string, a sack, or a throat. The Northwharf is the place where the unwary moor their boats. The docking fees are slight and the security self-provided, or paid for upon landing. It is little wonder that Northwharf is home to the Ôldyuh Market.
