Overview

Landmarks

  • Shrine of the Goat-Mother. The bloodied fragment of robe from Irzàla the Martyr rests within an ivory box upon the altar of the Shrine of the Goat-Mother. The present foundation was built in the 2nd century HK atop the foundation of an older temple dedicated to the city’s matriarch, Dirad. The current shrine was built in the 3rd century DR from the ruins of the second shrine which was destroyed in the Second Acèntyri-Dekàli War. The shrine is a large domed building, constructed around a disfigured statue of Dirad that was recovered from the ruins of the second shrine. Although no effort was made to repair the ancient figure, it has been covered in silver, gold, and gems.
