Errant Archer of Savárið

Callain was introduced in the Village of Nyl.

Callain’s adventures have taken him through a number of southern lands. He has spent a lot of time traveling between different ports. In the City of Æzàlari, he spent most of his hard-earned bounty on a tattoo ward to protect him from the fury of Morjân, a Kavàllūn magician with whom he had traveled. Morjân claimed that Callain used a page from his grimoire to wipe himself and vowed to find and mutilate the archer. The magician stopped sharing his story when he found himself on the receiving end of much ridicule.

His prior group came to the Village of Nyl to find treasures in the Great Death. They were specifically searching for the ruins of a wizard’s tower in the Falen Kelàram. Apparently, a wizard settled in a village long ago. The hope was that the Catastrophe had passed over the ancient village’s valley. When the group arrived, they found little more than foundation stones tumbled into piles. A Zalanite priest in the group sheltered them from the ongoing storms. Callain was able to uncover a number of cellar entrances where houses used to stand, and eventually discovered an intact door that the priest insisted belonged to the wizard Kajárid of Ziljànir. After breaking the lock, a number of the group went inside and emerged with bags. Callain guessed from their size and heft that they contained books and other small objects, but their contents were not revealed. He then led the group back to Nyl, signaled for the crane, and everyone was hoisted back to the high promontory. Callain’s fee was paid and he drank heavily, celebrating his success in returning everyone safely from the Great Death. When Callain awoke, the group was gone.
