Young Acèntyri Merchant
- Born: Unknown
- Died: Alive
Onymar is the son of a Celési noble. In the last few years, the young Acèntyryn has established himself as the Merchants’ Guild’s chief trade negotiator between Oð and visiting Vulmùryr. He is also credited with brokering a trade agreement between Oð and Ðirün, the first contract with the Dergàrdgurün since before the war. Onymar’s talents lie in his prodigious repertoire of Vulmùri languages. He was born, raised, and educated in a noble household. As a fourth son however, he had nothing to gain by waiting for his turn. Instead he took a wife and traveled west to the frontiers of Teréðor, in the hopes of founding a company to exploit the Uncharted Land’s natural resources. His aspirations were stymied by the entrenched oligarchy but he quickly adapted and is creating an ever-growing niche.
Before leaving Celésa his father placed Onymar’s niece in his care. Kelðyn is Onymar’s niece by two different siblings.
Onymar Estten is a member of the Merchants’ Guild of Oð, subordinate to the Patron Lord of Kyard, Ânya Medrāya.
Tressta’s notes: Young merchant living in Carāyar, Kyard. Youngish gentleman of noble bearing, well-groomed, controlling disciplinarian. Tressta did not like him. Although the experience was not bad, she sensed a cruelty about him. On two separate occasions, his wife intruded and spoke with him in a strange tongue. She did not seem surprised or displeased with the situation. Her name was Kelðyn. There was a golden-haired child in the household named Aryel though neither Onymar or Kelyn were blond. The little girl was well-behaved and spoke to Tressta only once, whispering gravelly “Will you bring me a sister?” Encounters: 3
As an Acèntyryn with noble ties, the Lord’s Men have instructions to watch Onymar very closely. Because of this scrutiny, Lord Rott was familiar with Tressta Drynsval before ever having met her.
