Ivory Empire, The Shul Kingdom
The Kingdom of Qāmar has risen, fallen, and been transformed many times over the centuries. Once a province of the Serájarim Empire, Qāmar has been subject to volatile social and economic changes over the centuries. Today, portions of the ancient province of Qāmar can be found inside the borders of Calàran and present-day Qāmar.
The first written records of the kingdom were composed by Serájarim historians who described the region as “an endless expanse of land with soil so poor that it can only support quill grass, blood briar, and scrub trees”. Today, stone paved roads cross the savanna, supplying inland cities and villages with necessities that cannot be found in the bush. Traditional Shūli tent villages can still be found scattered across the windswept prairie looking much as they did thousands of years ago.
