Empire of the Wyrm
The height of the Acèntyri civilization was reached centuries prior to the rise of the Old Empire. It was from this period that the influences of Vulmùra helped shape the cultures of all those that came into contact with them. In many ways, the Andùl Illyra was a precursor to the Old Empire, helping to develop the systems of government and religion that would allow its successor to lay claim to vast holdings.
The accepted birth of the Empire of Andùl Illyra is the year 1 YW (Year of the Wyrm). The Empire collapsed in 873 YW following a brutal civil war that plunged the region into a Dark Age. The years between produced unmatched achievements in art, architecture, literature, and the sciences. Many of these advances would be rekindled and expanded during the following age of the Old Empire.
