Introduction
When the body of the great warlord Kazòr Brim was sent adrift on his burning barge into the Mar Odìmis a terrible storm was brewing in the skies above. The men and women of the small coastal village watched as their hero’s funeral bier was struck with lightning and splintered into fiery sparks. The people fell to their knees and prayed to their gods then for their warlord had been claimed by the gods of the sky. When the people looked up, Kazòr Brim stood before them and told them to rise. Their warlord, though terribly burned, told them that the battle of the day before would be repeated and that this time he would lead his people to victory. That night as they feasted, the soldiers that had died the day before arrived in the great hall and sat beside their great leader and feasted. On the next day, Kazòr Brim returned to the battlefield with his Restless army and called the victorious warlord out from the town. The warlord would not answer the summons, shouting that black magics were afoot and that no honor could bind a man to fight demons. Kazòr Brim then assaulted the town with his army and swept through the streets leaving no-one alive.
At some point in the re-telling of the story of Kazòr Brim, he was transformed by the lightning strike into a God of Storms.
The Cult
The worship of Kazòr Brim is no longer limited to the northern reaches of Lyrast, but has been found from Kitàlsk to western Telés Tri. Small factions of the Cult have cropped up for short periods in Neyem and Shrull, but those were quickly vanquished. To this day, in northern Lyrast the name is spoken with awe for the warlord who returned, and the mighty unholy armies that have been raised over the centuries in his name.
The Priesthood
The priests of Kazòr Brim wear black and gray robes or cloaks with silver and gold embroidered lightning. The worship of Kazòr Brim is widespread throughout the far reaches of northern Lyrast, so advancement within the priesthood is mostly limited to local communities.
